The opening ceremony of UAV competition, hosted by the Institute of High Tech Robotics and China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. The recent FAA regulations have attributed to significant development within both industrial and commercial UAV business development. Namely, the Section 333 exempt has lost its importance for the commercial drones used in inspection, photography and other video recording applications. With the new development in both its hardware and software, MMC has yielded substantial benefits from the above mentioned changes. According to the FAA’s Part 107 rule, the authorized UAV operator, with his/her certification and checkups (every 24 months), stands as the legal entity with ability to determine the legality of the vehicle without having to apply it for the Section 333. This however, applies solely to inspection/photography applications. The businesses interested in providing industrial solutions are still bound to applying for the Section 333 exempt. This particular change in rules goes incredibly hand in hand with MMC’s Aviation Academy. A year ago, MMC has opened up a UAV academy that provides legal operation certificates (only for Chinese airspace) as well as high level UAV training that includes, operational, theoretical, practical and simulative approaches. The MMC’s recent unprecedented growth has been celebrated by various internal and external developments. One in particular was the opening of the new state of the art production facility in Bao’an Shenzhen, China.
